EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE SKILLS for the WORKPLACE
DESCRIPTION:
According to Daniel Goleman, we are judged more and more by a new yardstick that does not measure how smart we are or the extent of our training and expertise. This powerful yardstick measures Emotional Intelligence (EI). Career success is ever more impacted by how well we manage ourselves, our emotions, and our day-to-day work relationships. This becomes particularly relevant when we face increasing pressures of doing more work with unforgiving deadlines. This competency-based, highly interactive seminar will help you learn AND immediately put into practice proven emotionally intelligent skills
- Reinforce the 4 components of Emotional Intelligence
- Describe the benefits of EI skills to personal and professional success
- Complete a current EI assessment to determine personal mastery goals
- Learn and practice at least 7 advanced EI skills reinforced in the book, WHAT to SAY and HOW to SAY IT by William and Carolyn Hines
- Demonstrate advanced EI skills based on real, at-work situations
- Set reinforcement schedules for peer learning circles to continue skill development
We highly recommend the use of collaborative technology for this process. Using lap-tops, participants simultaneously in-put their responses. Answers appear on a large screen almost instantaneously. This approach provides an exciting and dynamic method to what may otherwise be a tedious undertaking.
